Lashing on my feet
The sea came to me

Embracing my soul
Washed the sand ashore

Crawling between my toes
The starfish winked

Came a wave
Splashed on my face

Took it all away
The sand, the water and the starfish

Left behind was a pebble
Red, heart-shaped

I looked at the horizon
Saw nothing
Just the sky

But I waves crashed again
Against the shores

Said the sea to me
“I love you”

“The heart is for you
Keep it
Love will happen
Just as the pebble happened”
